The peak body for Australian credit unions, building societies and mutual banks, COBA, has introduced the Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice. The Code outlines their 10 key promises to customers and ensures that all signatory credit unions, mutual building societies and mutual banks are fair and ethical when dealing with them. Three Squared worked with COBA to refresh the branding and collateral items for roll out in January 2014. Louise Petschler, CEO of COBA said “The Customer Owned Banking Association and its members believe that the Code establishes a strong benchmark for industry and is a clear statement of the commitment customer-owned banking institutions make to their customers. Customers of Code subscribers can have confidence in knowing they are covered by a market leading, plain English commitment to fair and responsible banking”.
